The Love, the Lessons, the Legacy: Foreword to the Second Edition of "The Indisputable Gift of Men"

Dear Reader,

A lot has happened since this beautiful book was published at the end of 2019. We had a Pandemic! A freakin’ Pandemic. The world went dark, literally and figuratively, and we hunkered down, sheltered in place, and rode out the storm attempting to sort through the myriad of talking heads providing ‘weather reports’ and ‘advisory notices’. I very quickly, and intentionally, chose to hit pause on the book marketing, my podcast, and my voice in the world. It was a time to pull the circle in closer, to simplify, and I wanted that for myself and for you. I wanted to remove myself from being a part of the noise brigade.

My biggest blessing during the last few years has been my job as a Course Manager at The Shift Network. We produce 120+ courses a year for personal growth and spiritual development. I have personally managed over 100 courses under the topics of dream interpretation, Shamanism, energy medicine, energy psychology, science and spirituality, breathwork, somatic movement, and more.

And, what I can tell you unquestionably and unequivocally is that in all of these teachings, that come from every corner of the world, some around for thousands of years, and some with scientific research backing them, is that Love is the gravity. The energy of divine love is the gravity that always speaks the truth, provides the space for healing, and always creates something greater than what currently exists.

With great love, I am refreshing the book to include new endorsements from esteemed faculty and luminaries in their fields—teachers, now mentors and friends—whom I deeply respect. Their incredible words, which I’ve humbly received, are too valuable to remain in my inbox when they can inspire others to pick up this book!

And, although this book is many things, it is not the healing and help that some people need to truly move through their trauma and forward into love. As my friend and mentor, Mary Sise, says, “you don’t hire a handyman to move a piano, you hire piano movers for that.”
